Developed in Sweden in the 1950s by Martin Silverudd, the Isbar is blue in color, but can also exist in Splash and Black as well. The most unique trait of this bird is the shade of green egg it lays. The eggs can range in color from light mint to olive green with brown speckles and always spark great admiration. Isbars are fairly docile, easy-going and well suited foragers. They are also cold hardy and alert to predatory threats. Our birds are originally derived from Greenfire Farm’s imported line.
